Tottenham are close to sealing a deal for Twente winger Nacer Chadli, the player’s representative has confirmed to Belga agency.
The 23-year-old has flown into London to undergo a medical and finalise the details of the move, which will see him join fellow Belgians Mousa Dembele and Jan Vertonghen at White Hart Lane.
Chadli, who can play on either flank, will become Spurs’ second signing of the summer, following the £17 million capture of Brazil international Paulinho from Corinthians.
The Belgium international has enjoyed three successful years at Twente, winning the Eredivisie title and attracting the attentions of Swansea and Aston Villa this summer.
Chadli also scored home and away against Tottenham for Twente in the Champions League group stage in the 2010-11 season.
